Ken, one of Chari & Co. NYC’s co-founders, has become OBSESSED with bouldering over the past couple of years. He won’t stop talking about heel hooks, the Gunks, and climbing gear. During his journey into the dark heart of the climbing world, he’s discovered that VLine is one of the top gear manufacturers in the game. Brisbane Outdoor Gear: Bike Bag
When Gypsy was visiting Portland, he mentioned a new bike bag that was in the works from Brisbane Outdoor Gear. Intrigued, I saw a post on their website about the bike bag and asked Dave @ BOgear if he could give me some info on it. He quickly replied and sent me some old photos of the prototype.

Concept Behind The Bag:
This is actually going to be a system, with the bike bag being the first piece in the system. Essentially the system encourages you to travel to and from the airport under your own pedal power. You unfold the bike bag and pack your bike into it. You then remove "packing cells" from inside/outside your backpack which contain your clothes and what not. You throw this into your bike bag for extra protection. Now your backpack is carry on weight and size and you only have one piece of checked luggage. Reverse the process when you land in your destination. No more fucking around with bike boxes or rigid cases.
Bike Bag Specs:
Completely foldable and easily packable. Folds up into a neat package measuring 350mm x 250mm x 90mm. Weighs just under 2kg. 1000D Ballistic Polyester. This is a sharp looking fabric which looks fantastic as travel luggage. 6mm padding in key spots (across the base and over your hubs). Heavy duty #10 Zip (will be YKK in the next batch) with a zip protection flap - yes this flap makes a difference... it reduces the likelihood of your zip being busted and worn.
